Evergreen and Skiing

One of the great things about living in Evergreen is it's close proximity to so many world class ski resorts. Breckenridge, Keystone, Winter Park, Copper Mountain, Vail and Beaver Creek can all be made in 90 minutes and some under an hour.  Loveland ski area is the closest with a 40 minute drive time from Evergreen and A Basin a close second  at 50 minutes.  Below is Jodee Manfred a long time Evergreen area resident enjoying her Birthday at Arapahoe Basin on a Monday afternoon.  And to think that just yesterday many of us were out mountain biking.  Life is good in Evergreen, Colorado! Read full post...

Skate The Lake

The Annual Skate The Lake Winter Festival has been a New Year’s Eve tradition since 1996. Winter Festival offers ice-skating, fireworks, fire barrel bonfires, sleigh rides, food, music and ice games such as pick-up hockey and broom-stick hockey along with games/ activities (face painting), food vendors, music and dancing all on firm ground!

Evergreen Cyclists Raise Monies for 9 Year Old with Cancer

Kaymen Story is currently undergoing treatment for osteosarcoma (bone cancer) of her right distal radius at the Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora.  Kaymen is a long time resident of Evergreen and is a third grader at Bergen Valley.  The tumor was found Labor Day Weekend 2012 and she started chemotherapy a week later.  The tumor was successfully removed in late November and she is currently scheduled to continue chemotherapy through the end of June 2013.  Read full post...
